The Brief

To build a tailor made shirt business from the ground up.

How it was Done

Product Sourcing

We wanted not only the best workmanship, but also the best materials, price for us was always secondary.

We ordered over 20 shirts from a range of different suppliers from a range of different countries: Italy, China, Vietnam and Thailand. We found a range of suppliers that offered the same level of craftmanship and quality materials, which made our end decision based on landed price.

Logo

My sister wanted a logo that was contemporary, but also had a touch of old english style. The logo was a mix of both serif and sans-serif fonts in both new and classic styles.

Branding

Branding was to be based around royalty and old english style.

Web Design

Based around the branding, the site was to look clean, but also mix with the old english style.

Photography

I happened to own a Canon EOS 60D camera which we used for all of the shoots. Extra lighting equiptment was purchased through eBay and my lounge room soon became a Photography studio. I took over 400 photos of the shirts by themselves and modeled by my sisters partner. Each photo was colour corrected and had the backgrounds cleaned where necessary.

Development

I wanted the website to be responsive, but didnt want to spend hours creating this from the ground up. Using Twitter Bootstrap allowed for quick site development.
